Campus Facilities

Building No. 1

Building No. 1  (一号館)
Built in 1981, Building No. 1 contains the University’s administrative offices and the research rooms of its lecturers. It is also where the majority of the Junior College’s classes are held, with rooms outfitted especially for music, drawing and manual arts subjects. Pianos are also on hand from private individual practice.

Building No. 2

Building No. 2  (二号館)
Built in 1991, Building No.2 is used predominantly by the University’s Faculty of International Communication.

Takahashi Memorial Hall

Takahashi Memorial Hall  (高橋記念講堂)
Opened in September 1995 it is used to host formal school events such as the entrance and graduation ceremonies, first year students’ welcome party and parts of the university festival. It is also open to the public, and known more simply as T.M. Hall.

Library

Library  (図書館)
With eye-catching architecture and a commanding presence, the library is home to approximately 70,000 books.

International Friendship Hall

International Friendship Hall  (国際交流ホール)
Also known as Okubo Hall, the International Friendship Hall was opened in March 2004 to provide an on-campus living space for international students to pursue their studies and engage in cultural exchange activities.

Japanese Culture Classroom

Japanese Culture Classroom  (日本文化実習室)
To enrich students’ experiences of traditional culture such as flower arrangement, tea ceremony and calligraphy, this Japanese-style house complete with tatami flooring and sliding doors is regularly used.

Musashino Shrine

Musashino Shrine  (武蔵野神社)
Enshrining the deity which watches over Musashino Gakuin, every year in May at the Musashino Shrine Festival student representatives come here to pray for its continuing good favor.

Outdoor Stage

Outdoor Stage  (野外ステージ)
The stage upon which live music and dance performances are held during the University Festival.

Cafeteria

Cafeteria  (食堂)
Serving freshly cooked meals, the cafeteria provides a warm and inviting atmosphere where students can relax and take a break from their studies.

Gymnasium

Gymnasium  (体育館)
Used for both Physical Education classes and club activities.

Indoor Pool

Indoor Pool  (屋内プール)
Built in 1998 for use by the children of the Junior College Kindergarten, it also plays a role in the Junior College students’ education practicum.

Tennis Courts

Tennis Courts
6 courts are maintained for student use.

Sports Ground

Sports Ground
The ground is a 3-minute walk from the campus, located next to the Junior College Kindergarten.

Earthenware Galleries  (やきもの美術館)
Three exhibition rooms can be found on the campus, with pieces from regions throughout Japan and the world collected by Professor Hiromichi Muromoto on display.

Sayama Woods

Sayama Woods  (狭山の杜)
A part of Musashino Gakuin for over 50 years, this generous share of woodland is abundant with nature.

Hakone Residence

Hakone Residence  (箱根レジデンス)
Established in 1966 near Lake Ashi  (芦ノ湖), the Hakone Residence serves as a camp retreat for Musashino Gakuin’s students and their club activities.

Kiroro Residence

Kiroro Residence  (キロロレジデンス)
Like its Hakone counterpart, the Kiroro Residence is used to host club activities during the school holidays. Situated in Hokkaido, student ski trips also take advantage of its lodgings during the winter months.
